Jason's career began over 20 years ago in the UK. He first worked as a slide projectionist / programmer and then as a video projectionist. He gained his knowledge over the years specializing in large corporate events throughout the UK and Europe. He moved into project managing 17 years ago working with blue chip clients such as Boots, Marks & Spencer's, Flymo, Lucas, British Telecom, Premier brands, Halfords, and many more international clients.
He left the UK in 1995 to run operations for Gearhouse Dubai. In 2000 Jason moved to Sydney to head up operations for Gearhouse Australia. Early 2001 he returned to the Middle East to set up the Saudi Arabia operation for Gearhouse.
Late 2001 he joined Protec as technical director to head up projects, and to develop and drive the business to success. Jason delivered events such as FIFA World Youth Cup 2003 opening ceremony, DSF 2002 Opening ceremony, RTA bridge opening ceremonies, Royal weddings, Emirates Airlines events, Etihad Airways events, Toyota showroom openings and many more large-scale events.
Now Jason has formed Clean Edge with Steve Shipman, Dave Lee and Wasim Ahmad to create a very unique service within the live production industry in the Middle East.

Steve started his career in lighting in 1987 working for Vari Lite in London. His early years were spent working on outside broadcasts for the BBC and touring with artists such as Chris De Burgh, Jethro Tull, Marillion, Sting, and many more.
He moved to Dubai in 1996 to work for Gearhouse Dubai. His skills as an "all-rounder" made him perfect for the region. He worked as lighting designer, rigger, technician, electrician, crew chief. He went freelance in 2003 and has become one of the regions most sought after lighting designers.

He brings to Clean Edge a wealth of technical knowledge and design skills.

Dave has worked in the events industry in Dubai for over 15 years. He has worked on some of Dubai’s biggest events; 6 Shopping Festival opening ceremonies, 4 Air Show gala dinners and many of Dubai’s one off special events. He has also worked his summers in the UK with various concert tours and festivals.
Since 1993 he has helped to develop many sporting events from small social affairs, into the worlds biggest. Dave has designed, installed and operated the audio systems for the Dubai Rugby Sevens, Dubai Dessert Classic, Dubai World Cup Horse Race, Dubai Tennis Tournament and the Dubai Power Boat Race from the very start.
For the past seven years Dave has been freelance, working as an audio engineer and production manager. During this time he has worked for numerous companies assisting them with planning and running their events. He has also looked after local production for many UK event companies sourcing everything from plant machines to carpet, and from equipment to talent.

Wasim began his career as a carpenter in India. Throughout the 80’s ran a successful joinery company with his father.
He moved to Dubai in 1992. During this time he developed his skills to specialize more for the events industry. He has built a vast knowledge of stage and set construction, and developed a deep understanding of the specific needs of our industry. Wasim has built sets for corporate events numbering in the thousands.
Wasim now runs the set department at Clean Edge, leading a team of 3 fulltime skilled carpenters. It’s his vision is to deliver every stage and set with the “Clean Edge” finish.
